By using this site you agree to grade and comment ONLY on Mechanics, service shops or any person or company that performs a service in the automotive industry. Do not include automotive manufacturers (such as Ford, Honda, etc...). They will not be accepted. You may grade each Mechanic (or other professional) only once.

Keep your comments appropriate. Do not state something as a fact if it is your opinion. If a statement is found to be untrue it will be deleted. Please grade your mechanics based on your opinion of their SERVICE. Please try to provide us with an insight into what is happening in the repair shop.

Statements that:

• contain vulgar or profane words
  
  
• have to do with personal appearance (cute, short, fat, bad clothes, etc.)
  
  
• have to do with physical disabilities (stutters, limps, wears a hearing aid, etc.)
  
  
• are name-calling in nature (Jerk, Creep, etc.)
  
  
• include names or initials of other consumers or the grader or any email addresses
  
  
• reference the mechanic's personal life including family members (Just got married, Don't like her son, Wife is pretty, How did he afford that car? etc.)
  
  
• contain advertising
  
  
• are not in English.
  
  WILL BE DELETED.

• threaten a mechanic, repair shop or any of its employees
  
  
  WILL BE TURNED OVER TO THE PROPER AUTHORITIES WITH THE IP ADDRESS.

Grading Categories

Here are descriptions of GradeYourMechanic's three ratings categories:

Personality - This category grades the mechanic in a social setting. How did they treat you (were the polite, mean, friendly). Did they give you a good feeling when you left. Basically, did you like them.

Automotive Knowledge - This category grades how much your mechanic knows about automobiles. This is a hard category to determine but can sometimes be determined by a conversation about your automobile.

Effectiveness in explanation of repairs- This category can also be used to determine the first 2 categories and in itself can make or break a grade. Basically, when your mechanic explained the repairs needed on your automobile did you understand them.

Number of Visits to fix problem - Sometimes you have to bring your automobile back to your mechanic to fix the same problem because it was not fixed correctly the first time. If this was the case, how many times did you have to bring it back until it was fixed correctly? If it was fixed correctly the first time mark 1.

Comments - If you care to elaborate on any of your grades put it in this section. If you also care to comment on the cost of repairs you may do so in this section.
